This is the Emerson Elementary School Bell ringers. This is the only school that I know of that has Bell ringers. They had them when I went to Emerson years ago.

G.A.I.N OCT.24,2009

We had our neighborhood G.A.I.N (getting Arizona involved in neighborhoods) party. Neighborhoods do this once a year. The police always come out and so does McGruff. The children always have fun and we also have dinner. Here is a few pictures of the fun that the children had.

Isis was actually afraid of McGruff.

Merlin actually jumped over the top of this.

Isis was enjoying the many ways to slide that she couldn't get in trouble.

Kevin TREK

Oct.15-17th Kevin got to go on the pioneer trek in our stake. They had to make their handcarts and then pull them up rigid path. The total miles for 3 days was 25 miles. All of their belongings had to fit into a 5 gal. bucket except for their pillows and blankets. On day 2 each family recieved a baby that had died on the trek. One ma actually ended up with an uncle that had died when his family traveled the plains. The men actually said how hard it was to watch their wives pull the carts without them. Kevin said his group all cried when they had to bury their babies. Everyone that went had a great spiritual time.

On sat. Oct.10,09 my niece Samantha also competed at Gilbert High School. This is Peoria High Schools marching band. She plays the trumpet.

On sat. Oct. 10,09 Kevin competed in a band compition at Gilbert High School. This is his last year in marching band since he will be graduating in May. Kevin has been playing the trumpet since 5th grade. We are so proud of him.

On Sat. Oct.10,09 I took the children up to Sky Harbor airport to see my mom's other sister Bev and her husband Bob and their inlaws.

This is all of us. The children had fun meeting their great aunts and great uncle. Kevin was not here do to band compition.

Aunt Bert

My moms sister Bert came in for a visit for a few days before going on their cruise on Oct.9. We even got to go out to breakfast.
